3 Things I Learned Attending WordPress WordCamp Raleigh
1. The WordPress Community Is Alive and Well.
Attendance for the first WordCamp Raleigh ended up around 250 people. Not bad for the first event in Raleigh. There was energy in the group all centered around using or making a living with WordPress. Everyone seemed to generally like or love WordPress as a web software tool. Not bad for a free open source software application. I wondered if everyone was drinking the same Kool-Aid but I realized there was no Kool-Aid being offered to drink. So obviously I am not alone liking loving WordPress.
2. WordPress Users Aren’t All Young Geeks.

Fort Mill Athletics Website Goes Live To Save Middle School Sports
The Fort Mill Middle School athletic program is on the chopping block for funding next year. Athletic booster parents from all 3 middle schools have a plan to keep a school sports program funded.
The plan includes forming a athletic board and implement a pay to play program. The booster leaders asked me to quickly create a website for the proposed board and program. You can see their new website at www.fortmillathletics.org. Help support their program.
Catawba Classsic Lacrosse Tournament Online
The Fort Mill Lacrosse Club is hosting a lacrosse tournament in Rock Hill this June. The event is a fundraiser to help support the new Fort Mill school lacrosse program.
